Lisa in Grange Hill could have ended up looking very
different. Leona Kadir (eventually cast as Janet) auditioned
for the role, but producers wanted someone with more
experience. Enter Charlie!

 ROMANCE:
Charlie was linked to her Grange Hill co-star Rob Stuart (Matt).
But it was a very on-off relationship - apparently they break
up every few weeks then get back on! Are they still together?
HOBBIES: Making music. Charlie
plays the piano and bought a synthesiser from her wages in Grange
Hill - she talks about thisin BBC TV's "Children's TV Annual
2000".
COINCIDENCE OR WHAT?
Charlie's mates on Grange Hill called her "Britney"
because of her resemblance to a certain Miss Spears. And in
Series 24 we saw Lisa doing a Britney dance routine in the
school talent show! But Charlie is NOT related to Helen McDonagh,
who starred in Grange Hill as Mary in 1993.
