YOU MIGHT NOT KNOW...
It was quite by accident - literally - that Mark got
into acting. He broke his leg when he was seven and
was told to take dancing lessons to get fit again. So
he joined a stage school and the rest is history! Unfortunately
Mark's injury caused him quite a lot of pain and for
this reason he doesn't do much walking in Series 6 of
Grange Hill. |
 |
FAMILY: Mark has one
younger brother, Joey. His grandad was an actor too, appearing
at London's Whitehall Theatre just after the war.
HOBBIES: These days Mark
is kept busy with his children but he was sports-mad when he
worked on Grange Hill. Swimming, diving, running, football -
he had cups for them all! And as if that wasn't enough he also
went to Boys' Brigade.
WHERE IS HE NOW...? Mark
has quit acting and is now a full-time dad. Though as he was
working on Grange Hill, his ambition was to carry on acting.
His most recent TV appearance was in "From Grange Hill
To Albert Square" in 1998.
