her character, Rene was a keen horse-riding fan. She
was also a full-time pupil at the Italia Conti stage
school and trained in tap, ballet and jazz dance. Of
her time on Grange Hill, Rene said the cast were like
"one big happy family".

WHERE IS SHE NOW...?
After leaving Grange Hill, Rene spent the next couple of years
in theatre, including The King And I and various pantomimes.
She toured the Middle and Far East with Derek Nimmo's company
in "There's A Girl In My Soup" then returned to
TV with Alas Smith And Jones, and Who Dares Wins.
Rene then quit acting to become a medical recruitment consultant.
Now married, she's known as Rene Anisfield. |
