Great interview!

And to welcome us into 2009, George Wilson (aka Ziggy Greaves) gives his verdict on our interview with Todd Carty: "Great interview Simon, fully enjoyed it. A great catch. Have a fine 2009!" Thanks George and the same yourself! As you'll have read, it was amazing to meet Todd in the flesh and this is definitely the highlight of GH Online's nine years. Todd's a great comedy actor too - I also saw him on stage and he really entertained the crowds.

What happened to Judy Preston?

Michael Little wonders what happened to three actors from the early days: "Just to say I really love your Grange Hill site! I remember the show from the early days and this is great fun, especially the Star File and the Locations section. Must have been a lot of work! I got the series on DVD recently and wondered did you know anything on the people who played  Joseph Hughes and Michael Doyle, their current whereabouts? Some many of the cast have totally disappeared. Also, at one time I think you had an intervew  with the actress who played Judy Preston? Is that right? Do you still have it? Hope you keep up the good work! Best wishes and thanks."

Glad you like the site Michael - and the DVDs! The last we heard was that Vincent Hall (Doyle) was working as a lorry driver; Donald Waugh had moved to the US but no word of Abigail Arundel who played Judy Preston. We have never featured an interview with Abigail on this site, but the website Grange Hill Gold, due to be absorbed into GH Online this year, did run an interview with Lucinda Duckett who played Ann Wilson.
