Rachel is less confident than her streetwise
best friend Lucy, and her easy-going nature means others will
take advantage. She enjoys
a priviliged home life with a generous clothes allowance and
skiing holidays - and sometimes she'll unintentionally rub Lucy's
nose in it with tales of her dad's job. But she'll go along
with pretty much anything Lucy wants to do, although this year
she starts to think for herself a bit more.
Year
7 Rachel and Lucy wind up Bryn at the start
of the school year. The Wannabees "persuade"
Rachel to hand over her watch, but best mate Lucy
notices it's missing and forces Chloe to return
it.
Year 8 Lucy and Rachel fight when Rachel
accidentally breaks Lucy's MP3 player and offers
to replace it with a better one. She replaces the MP3
player with a like-for-like one and they make up. Rachel is forced to confront her estranged grandfather - Frank Hooper, a regular visitor to the CLC, and they start to get to know each other.
