School Days: 1986-1987 (first appearance in 1985 Christmas special)
A thoroughly nasty piece of work, Imelda Davis made life
hell for teachers and classmates in the mid-1980s. Imelda
was self-proclaimed leader of the Terrorhawk Witches and
with gang-mates Helen, Georgina and Sharon they did everything
from stuffing fibreglass down Ziggy's back to extorting
money off first years. She wouldn't think twice about
doing Gonch over to get her hands on the profits of his
toast bar enterprise. In class she was thoroughly disruptive,
wrecking school property, refusing to do as she was told
and exploiting Mr Scott's ineptitude to great advantage.

Soon Imelda found herself isolated as one by one her friends
deserted her, but this only made her more of a loose cannon.
Things came to a head after a display of vindictive violence
towards Ronnie Birtles, and Mrs McClusky decided enough was
enough. Such was Imelda's behaviour at this point questions
were being asked about her unstable behaviour and it was no
secret she was seeing the educational psychologist. So did Imelda's
problems have an underlying cause? We shall never know...
REASON FOR LEAVING: Imelda
was expelled in Year 9 after her behaviour became too much
for Grange Hill to cope with. She was never heard of since.
FAMILY: Lived with her
mum, a factory worker who seemed indifferent to the school's
concerns. As far as mum was concerned, Imelda's problems lay
with her father not being around.
