A bolshy Northern girl who more than ruffled a few feathers
at Grange Hill. Originally from the North East, Fran was
never afraid to speak her mind and could be quite catty
towards her fellow classmates at times. Woebetide anyone
in particular who dared fancy the same boy as Fran did.
However, Fran would fiercely defend those she cared about,
often taking the approach of direct action against those
who dared to upset her friends. Most of the time she was
easy enough to get along with, though boys found her intimidating.
REASON FOR LEAVING:
Went back to the North to complete her A-levels.
FRAN'S
SCHOOL REPORT
Series 14: Fran joins the rest of the fourth
years on the school trip to Dartmoor and falls for Jamie,
the instructor's son. On their return to London Jamie
arrives to see Fran and she falls out with Maria who fancies
him too.
Series 15: After
Natalie apparently bad-mouths the heavily-pregnant Chrissy
Mainwaring, Fran is determined to make her pay for her
outburst and with Maria's help grabs hold of her. What
they don't know is that the real culprit was Natalie's
twin, Natasha, who has joined Grange Hill.
Series 16: There are
further tensions between Fran and her classmates when
Fran's cousin from Scotland comes to visit.
