THE WEEKLY NEWS FROM GH ONLINE
Issue 53 15 May 2005
Hello!

It's official - this has been GH Online's busiest week ever. On Tuesday the site scored TWO MILLION hits - breaking all previous traffic records. A big thank-you to everyone who reads and contributes to GH Online! And it's all thanks to a Channel 4 programme screened on Tuesday...

Bring Back...Grange Hill Two million hits for GH Online
THE HIT COUNT KEEPS GOING UP!
GH Online has had its most successful week ever, scoring TWO MILLION hits on Wednesday and one million the day before. There was also in excess of 1 million hits on Thursday.

Technical co-ordinator Andrew Gregson was stunned when he viewed the site logs: "I am not quite sure what to say..... I simply cannot believe the traffic we received!" "All of this means we have over 5 million hits in May already .... our highest ever monthly TOTAL and we havent even got to the middle of the month! So Mersey TV have shot themselves in the foot. "

The rise in traffic is associated with the transmission on Channel 4 of Bring Back Grange Hill, in which Justin Lee Collins rounded up members of the 1986 Grange Hill cast for a reunion performance of their single "Just Say No". GH Online started as a modest fan site in September 2000 and quickly built up a loyal following.

We would like to thank everyone who has visited the site, from our regular visitors to those who have donated photographs, video footage, the actors who've written Star Files and much more. This seals GH Online's position as the definitive online resource for Grange Hill, and we hope you'll continue to enjoy the site!
