THE
STORY SO FAR...
As school resumed Togger was revelling in his
hero status but felt guilty for changing the signs. Tanya skulked
outside knowing she'd be the subject of gossip. Karen urged her to
come in - saying if she didn't she'd be letting Simon win. Annie and
Emma still were still in shock.
Karen and Taylor kissed as Maddie came into
class. She warned Karen he was stringing her along; Taylor accused
Maddie of jealousy. Spencer and Dawn clashed with Dawn adamant Jeremy
was too young as the male lead. Mrs Bassinger called Tanya in to
see her and announced she had banned unsupervised web access at
school. Tanya returned fire, blaming Mrs B for banning her from
the exchange. Maddie announced the new web policy on The Hill, and
made no secret of blaming Tanya. An embarrassed Tanya ran off. Annie
urged Tanya to stand up for herself - as she would have done before
the incident.
Togger was furious that Abel wasn't allowed to
play in the football match due to Academy rules. A nasty row erupted
and in the heat of things Togger said Tanya was stupid. He was shocked
to find Tanya behind him. Words from Martin - preoccupied with a Maths
problem - persuaded Maddie to take the lead. Kathy was really falling
for Spencer and was increasingly convinced he felt the same way. She
later saw him picking a flower from the garden which she assumed was
for her. When Spencer announced he'd got something for her, Kathy
was presented not with the flower, but a dictionary for checking the
script!
Karen carpeted Maddie for humiliating Tanya.
Maddie devised a set-up for Karen; she arranged to meet Taylor in
the drama room for some "radio tips" while Martin would
get Karen for her to meet her there. Tanya returned to the radio
station and spoke frankly of her ordeal on air. Shooting began on
the school DVD; Spencer put the flower in Miss Adams' room so she'd
think it was from Malachay. The ruse worked and Spencer filmed the
pair flirting. Karen arrived in the drama room - just as Maddie
and Taylor kissed.
Alex brought his swimming kit and decided to
bite the bullet, but Alison texted to say she wouldn't be in today.
The atmosphere in Year 11's maths class was tense; Maddie tried
apologising to Karen to no avail. Karen and Maddie continued to
thrash out their differences. Taylor cornered Karen, but she refused
to listen to his protests of innocence. He then warned Maddie to
fix the mess she started - and that he never could fancy her! Martin
was angry the feud was interfering with their classwork!
Togger ended up putting his foot in it further
with Tanya. Abel fell asleep in Malachay's class; Malachay reminded
Abel he would have to make sacrifices if he wanted to make the grade.
Tanya freaked out when she thought she saw her attacker go by. It
was Wally, dressed in an identical top. Alex tried blagging his
way out of swimming, but Mr McDonnell was having none of it. Alex
managed to swim from one end of the pool to the other. However,
afterwards his shirt went missing and someone had scrawled "Jumbo
No. 1" on the back. Mr McDonnell suggested extra swimming lessons
as part of the mentoring scheme.
Kathy caught Spencer filming Malachay and he
revealed he was collecting embarrassing shots of Malachay - to show
at the premiere as payback. The school was getting excited about
an outward bound trip. Alex couldn't make up his mind whether to
go; Baz warned Annie not to pressure their dad into finding the
£100 cost. Annie and Emma convinced Tanya it was just what
she needed to forget her recent troubles. Annie accidentally dropped
her credit card. She claimed her mum set it up for her.
Mr Fox pressured Alex for a decision on the
trip. Kathy was shocked when Spencer told Alex to get himself into
trouble - so he could get some footage of Malachay telling him off!
Alex filmed another camcorder soliloquy; and resolved to go on the
outward bound course, lose weight and go on a diet to impress Alison.
Another attempt by Togger to smooth things
over with Tanya failed; he freaked her out by touching her on the
back. Tanya said if he was going on the trip, she wasn't. With Abel
enjoying a kickabout with some other lads, Togger was really feeling
isolated.
