*** NEW SERIES SPECIAL ***

Happy New Year and this week Grange Hill News looks forward to a brand new series of Grange Hill, starting this Monday on BBC1! So what does the new term have in store at Grange Hill school? Let's have a look at the hot plots:

New times, New days
DON'T FORGET GRANGE HILL MOVES
from its traditional Tuesdays and can now be seen every Monday and Wednesday on BBC1. It's also on earlier too, at 4:35pm. Don't miss it!

New Year 7s cause chaos
A BRAND NEW GANG OF YEAR 7s
burst into Grange Hill, all slightly nervous on their induction day. Are the rumours really true about first years getting their heads flushed down the toilet? But it's not long before they're causing havoc everywhere. Chloe (Mia Smith), Sammy (Holly Mann) and Andrea (Darcey Isa) are bullies The Wannabees; they select their victims for the year and run an underground tuck shop. An encounter with Mooey makes Alex realise Grange Hill isn't going to be an easy ride. But the one to watch out for is Tigger Johnson - Togger's little bro - who's out to steal Togger's crown as Grange Hill's prankster in chief.

Character profiles are now available in THE KNOW, along with an overview of the new series.

Taylor brought down to earth
TAYLOR'S EGO
is as big as ever the the start of the year - then he gets the shock news he may not be entered for any GCSEs. How will he react? At least he won't have any worries about his love life with both Karen and Maddie competing for his attention.

Spencer's out to impress
SPENCER RETURNS FOR HIS FINAL YEAR
at school and is determined to make the best of things. But along come three attractive new Lower Sixth girls, Dawn (Hollie Jay Bowes), Kate (Faye McLaughlin) and Katrina (Chantelle Latham). So lessons in lurve could also find their way onto the curriculum.

The new series of Grange Hill starts tomorrow (Monday) at 4:35pm on BBC1.
