RAPPEDby David Hanson Togger is on the phone to Uncle Tucker seeking advice on a delicate matter concerning Tanya. He does not appreciate the interruption from Bryn and Ducket, who pick up on the fact he has a big question for Tanya, they tell Lucy and Rachel concludes Togger is going to propose to her! Lucy is mortified and Tanya is left reeling when Lucy tells her not to marry Togger. Tigger is excited to receive a text from Club 82, inviting him to their secret gig in Liverpool - but he, Ed and Alex are banned from the school trip. That's just a minor detail for Tigger; the trio sneak on the coach with Bryn and Ducket's help and manage to lock themselves in the toilet as everyone boards. En route, Chloe needs the loo and uncovers the boys hiding. They are forced to pay Chloe off but she sees the opportunity to scam Tigger - first though, she needs his number. At the toilet stop, Tanya can't get away from Togger's side fast enough. Chloe cons Togger into calling his brother so she can get the info she needs. Once in Liverpool, Bryn and Rachel remind Lucy she can't be certain Togger will propose - and if he does, what's the big deal? Lucy explains Togger has changed since hooking up with Tanya - he's gone from being the coolest pupil in Grange Hill to being joined at the hip with her. Ed and Tigger want to give themselves up but Tigger waits for the next clue to lead them to the concert. They have no idea Chloe and Andrea are sending them duff clues! They end up in the graveyard of the Anglican cathedral and Chloe's next clue leads them to the Birkenhead ferry! Kathy leads the rest of the group down the Williamson tunnels, but Tanya slinks off. Kathy senses something is wrong and Tanya has to tell her she's avoiding Togger because of his impending "proposal". Tanya isn't ready for marriage but knows a "no" would break Togger's heart - Kathy says that in itself is no reason to say yes. Togger catches up with Tanya in the caves and tells her he "has something for her"; however, Year 8 plot to interrupt the proposal and Bryn duly takes Tanya away claiming to be lost. Now off the ferry, the Year 10 boys are convinced they're being had. Tigger phones Chloe to give her a piece of his mind - and is shocked when Kathy, who has confiscated her phone, answers and recognises it's him. But another text comes from a different number with the venue - none other than the Cavern Club! Ed and Tigger and thoroughly fed up and ready to leave Tigger to it until he persuades them to go to the Cavern. Togger and Tanya finally get a moment alone and just wants Togger to get his "proposal" over with. But it's not an engagement ring but football season tickets he gives her. Tanya hugs him in relief - he's slightly bemused but Lucy and Rachel think she's said yes to him. Rachel urges Lucy to be happy for him but Lucy is worried they'll choose an Elvis-themed wedding! On the coach back home, Lucy tries to congratulate the pair before Tanya tells Togger she was expecting a proposal. At the Cavern Club, the lads blag their way into the club with relative ease, saying they're here to perform! But the lads have no cash to get home to Tigger suggests they put on a rap act to win a cash prize. On stage they make things up as they go along and Club 82 are gobsmacked. Afterwards they get talking with the band who give them a lift back to the school coach in their 4x4 - Tigger can't resist showing off, until Kathy rings him from Chloe's phone and informs him it was her they told "where to stuff my chuffin' gig"! |
