Jake is the subject of gossip because
of his friendship with Jenny, but he doesn't care what anyone
else thinks. Sometimes though, her flights of fancy leave him
confused. Most of the time though, Jake shares the same social
conscience as Jenny and will throw himself into whatever campaign
she's leading. He's also good with computers and is a good leader.
Year
7 Jake is not central to the storyline but is
horrified to discover that Jenny's self-cleaning
hair experiment has left her with nits!
Year 8 Jake helps Jenny organise her protest
when ex-pupil turned professional footballer Dwayne
Miller returns to Grange Hill to promote his latest
cookery book. When Jenny wants to give her rescue
dog, Rory, back to the dog's home, Jake is horrified,
but through persistance manages to get her to change
her mind.
