Bryn found himself the object of Grange
Hill's bullies, because of his tall stature and and being "different".
His free-spirit comes from the fact that before Grange Hill
he was home schooled, and now he's in the jungle of school he
does his best to fit in, even if that means following the crowd
and being cloak-and-dagger. Perceptions of Bryn vary from person
to person, but he and best friend Ducket are like two peas in
a pod. To some Bryn is a fun classmate to have around, others
wouldn't give him time of day. This year, Bryn's sister Megan
makes regular visits to the school, and he might soon make a
discovery that sets him out from her...

Year
7 Bryn's awkward manner and unusual questions
in Geography are the source of much amusement. Ali
often rescues him from the taunts of others. Alex
forces Bryn to help him meet the Humphries' increasingly
outrageous demands including finding them an old
fridge - soon even the sight of Alex is too much
for Bryn to bear and he reacts by smearing his food
on the canteen walls. Ali helps take the rap but
even he is losing patience.
Year 8 Bryn is embarrassed by his sister,
Megan, coming over to Grange Hill, much to her annoyance.
When Kathy launches an extra-terrestrial IT project,
Bryn is convinced Grange Hill has been attacked
by aliens when what's really happened is a power
surge. |
