Grange Hill Annuals were the big ones - a yearly mix of stories, photos and info on all your favourite stars. The first one was published in 1981 and continued in production until 1988.

The first selection of picture strips, cast photos and features was published in 1980. Includes interviews with Michelle Herbert (Trisha Yates), producer Colin Cant and - of course - Todd Carty. The annual also contains a feedback questionnaire in which Phil Redmond seeks viewers' opinions about Grange Hill.

Plus, test your knowledge of Series 7 in a special quiz and Alison Bettles (Fay) introduces us to her family. All that plus the usual letters, cast photos etc.

The full lowdown on the actors playing the new first year, including John Alford and Simone Hyams. More new picture strips including what happened when Julian's camera was stolen. Grange Hill stars talk about school uniform, and on a more serious note there's advice on coping with bullying.


	GRANGE HILL ANNUAL 1987 Pub: Fleetway, 1986

Possibly the best Grange Hill annual, especially for those interested in the actors. The cast give their views on the characters they play, there's cookery tips from Nadia Chambers and Erkan Mustafa, plus Simone Hyams turns model and gives us some very 80s fashion ideas.


	GRANGE HILL ANNUAL 1988 Pub: World Distributors, 1987

The final Grange Hill annual, with a new publisher and a new format. Out go the picture strips and cast interviews and in their place even more Grange Hill stories. There are still a few cast posters, however, which include Amma Asante (Cheryl Webb) and Simon Vaughan (Freddie Mainwaring).

A paperback version of this annual is also available. Published by Scholastic Publications, it is identical to the regular version but with out the "Annual 1988" branding.


	GRANGE HILL: THE OFFICIAL COMPANION Pub: Wiedenfield and Nicolson ISBN 0-297-79260-1

A celebration of Grange Hill's first ten years packed with photos, interviews with the cast and memories of the early episodes. The book has many actor profiles, chapters about the Anna Scher Theatre and the Italia Conti Academy of Performing Arts, details about John Alford's appearances at under-18 discos, photos of rehearsals/location filming and pictures of the 1985 Christmas Special.

	GRANGE HILL TX FILE (1997)

This handy guide to Grange Hill was advertised during Series 20. TX Files were a series of pocket books about various BBC shows. However, no sooner had the Grange Hill edition been heralded than it was pulled, and the contents printed on the BBC web site instead. Did ANY copies make it into print?


	BBC CHILDREN'S TV ANNUAL 2000 BBC Worldwide, 1999 ISBN: 0563 55620X

Although the Grange Hilll annuals are now sadly long gone, the BBC published a special Children's TV annual in 1999 as part of the Millennium celebrations. Grange Hill features prominently and Charlotte McDonagh (Lisa) features in a two-page Behind The Scenes At Grange Hill feature. There is also a cartoon strip featuring the Double Dare Gang in a school talent show.
