Put Grange Hill back on BBC1!

Emily is upset that Grange Hill is showing on the digital CBBC channel and not BBC1: "Hey ermmm... I was wondering when Grange Hill comes back to normal TV not the CBBC Channel...just CBBC [if ya get me]..please reply I'm dying to know. xx" Well let's not keep you in suspense any longer Emily! According to Lime Pictures, Series 30 will be shown on BBC1 later in the year but we won't know exactly when until shortly before it happens. Keep checking GH Online and we'll let you know as soon as we do!

Thomas HudsonWriting to Tom Hudson

Beck wants to get in touch with Grange Hill's man of the moment, Tom Hudson: "Hello, I just want to say I think you have a great site on Grange Hill. It lets everybody know what they need to, so good going!! I was just wondering, I wrote to Tom Hudson via Lime Pictures the other day and have sent it, but now I'm a bit worried in case it won't get to him? Should I have wrote to Laine Management instead? Or do you think Lime Pictures will pass it on to him? Thank you xx"

Hi Beck and thanks for your comments! GH Online recommends writing to cast via their agents, although contact details aren't always obtainable. In Tom's case that is Laine Management, 131 Victoria Road (Hope), Salford, Manchester M8 6LF. Or you can always right c/o Lime Pictures at the address here. It can often be several months before actors write back, so don't panic if you don't hear anything right away. Good luck!

Does Tanya have something up her sleeve?

"Hi, just been watching the new series and I really like Tanya played by Kirsten Cassidy. Just wondered why she has her sleeves up to her elbow and the other characters don't." Can't say I've really noticed, but at a guess it's probably to do with Tanya's rebellious streak. She hates school uniform so she "customises" it as much as she can get away with but still she ends up in front of Mrs Bassinger for flouting uniform regulations.

Chris FinchFrom the Street to the Hill

Robert Hosie: "Can you tell me who plays the new geography teacher? He looks familiar - His name didn't appear in the credits. Incidentally, where ARE all the teachers this year. I wonder if Mrs Bassinger will be doing a 'Mr Llewellyn or 'Mr McNab' and not appearing..." Hi Robert. The geography teacher Mr Lydon is played by Chris Finch. Chris is best known as gay nurse Karl Foster in Coronation Street, where he snogged Todd Grimshaw in controversial scenes broadcast in 2004. Incidentally, Lime Pictures is run by former Corrie bosses Carolyn Reynolds and Tony Wood, so that might explain how Chris got there!

The lack of teachers hasn't gone unnoticed - although Mr McDonnell has been used more in recent episodes. But you'd think Mrs Bassinger would have appeared after Baz's death?
