MORE E-MAILS FROM THE CAST

We've had more contacts from former Grange Hill cast members, and to start off here's Peter Morton:

Peter Morton"I used to play Wayne in GH and I wanted to get in touch to let you know that at the moment I am trying to break into the music industry by writing songs. Since leaving GH I have been lucky enough to be involved in voiceover work for the Comfort fabric softner commercials (as Darren Denim) and I am making films with Aidan David who played Arnie. I wanted to let everyone know that my myspace address is http://www.myspace.com/desolateicon for anyone intrested in hearing the type of music I do. Grange Hill still Rules and it's hard to believe that it's nearly 30 years old.

"Great job with the site, keep up the good work. Just recently got in touch with Tom Carey again so I will direct him to the site as well. Thanks for posting my music stuff if I can help with anything else let me know. Going to get Aidan to sign up as well" Hi Peter and welcome to GH Online! We really enjoyed seeing Wayne turn from bully into rough diamond during his time at Grange Hill. Thanks for telling us about the music career and good luck with that also. So for more information about what Peter is doing now, give his weblink a click!

Simone HyamsGoing back a bit further, let's welcome Calley Donnington herself, otherwise known as Simone Hyams: "Dear Simon, Alison McLaughlin (Louise Webb) mentioned that she was in touch with you recently and that you very kindly supplied her with DVDs of the series' of Grange Hill that she was in. I was also in Grange Hill for a while (Calley Donnington) and would love it if you are able to do the same for me for my years. By the way, I gave up acting in my early 20s hence the reason why you have heard little about me ! I now keep myself busy by managing events. I look forward to hearing from you. Kind regards."

Hello Simone and thanks for your e-mail! We wondered if you had given up acting, hope the management is going well. And I'll be delighted to copy your episodes; leave that with me and we'll keep you posted.

Have you seen our photos of the reunion you attended in April? Click here for the gallery. Thanks again for writing and do give our regards to Alison!

Kacey is at my college!

Mr PIG has a famous classmate: "I know Kacey Barnfield from our college, she's real nice and sincere as well as good-looking. She got some long-term man or something. She's really approachable and a down-to-earth person. I have some questions too when is Popcorn out and is it going to be out on DVD?" Hi - always good to hear from someone who knows a Grange Hill star! But you've probably broken tons of male hearts by saying she's taken. Unfortunately we don't know when Popcorn is due out, we've done a search but no date is yet available. Keep checking back and we'll announce the release date as soon as we know. The DVD release is likely to be a few months after Popcorn hits the big screen.

Lee Ross at Grange Hill?

Fran asks: "Was the actor Lee Ross ever in Grange Hill, who is now appearing in EastEnders? Thank you." Hi Fran! We've had a look on the Internet Movie Database, but there is no record of Lee being in Grange Hill. That's not to say he wasn't, however; many actors who've since found fame elsewhere were extras in the show. Maybe someone out there can give a definite answer? If you can please visit the Contact page and get in touch!

A DVD for the big birthday?

Edward Pearce looks forward to Grange Hill's big birthday: "Good morning. Thanks for your info regarding Miss Peterson. Do you know if the BBC have any plans to release all of the early series on DVD? I wonder if they may do next year to coincide with the 30th anniversary? Talking of that I look forward to the celebrations next year and the movie. Hope all is going well with that and loads of former cast will appear! Many thanks once again and great site too! Kind Regards EDWARD PEARCE (Viewer since it all began in 77!)"

Hello Edward - nice to hear from someone who has followed Grange Hill since day one! No news on any planned DVD release I'm afraid, but it would be great if this happened as part of the 30th anniversary festivities. It's possible some Grange Hill episodes will be repeated as part of the birthday celebrations in 2008 and a cast reunion has also been mooted; again, we won't know for sure until much nearer the time. More news as we get it!

Daisy Beatty - info wanted

Angela Mata writes: "Hello! My name's Angela, and I'm writing because I can't find the information I'm looking for on the site. I'd like to know if there was a girl called Daisy Beatty on the 2000s Grange Hill cast. I'm a friend of her, and I know she played one of the characters, but I lost her contact...So if you could help me by giving me some information about this, it would be great! Thank you very very much!!!!!!!" Hello Angela. We're not aware of a Daisy Beatty in the 2000s cast; if she was it would probably have been as an extra and background artists are never credited. Sorry.

* Was Daisy Beatty ever in Grange Hill? Maybe you ARE Daisy. If so, please drop us a line - click here to e-mail!
