Thanks for the memories! 07/08/2006

Alan Lynch is glad he found GH Online: "Thanks v much for setting me up on the video exchange forums. I had completely forgotten about GH until I saw that reunion programme last year and then all the good memories came flooding back. I googled GH and found your website. It's a fantastic facility which I'm really enjoying participating in so I just wanted to say thanks for that also." Hello Alan and glad you're enjoying the forums. A lot of people find GH Online via Google, and the reunion programme on Channel 4 last year sent our forum membership through the roof! GH Online is for ALL Grange Hill fans, and we hope fans of the latest series are getting as much from us as those who remember the early days. Hope you find the videos you're looking for!

Julie and Clare Buckfield in Holby CityTogether again - Julie and Clare's role reversal 01/08/2006

Andrew Startup has an update on Julie Buckfield: "I don't know if you watched it but Julie and Clare Buckfield have appeared on TV for the first time since they were in Grange Hill as Natalie and Natasha Stevens fro nearly 14 years. Both played twin sisters patients awaiting heart transplants - Sarah and Allie Francis. However in a twist Julie's character was the not so nice one after being deemed unfit for a transplant, only for it to be offered to Clare's character instead. This is a total role reversal to their Grange Hill characters where Julie was the nice twin and Clare the nasty one. I have attached a photo of them, where Julie is in hospital robes with Clare on the right.

Julie with Michael Fenton Stevens in panto"I have also attached a promo photo of Julie for Aladdin - the panto she is in this Christmas at the Cambridge Arts Theatre. She has been so successful forming a double act with Michael Fenton Stevens this is the third year she has played principal boy to Michael's dame. Previously she was Jack in Jack and the Beanstalk, then last year Dick Whittington in Dick Whittington and his cat. Aladdin runs from the 8th of December until the 14th of January. Info can be found including booking details at www.cambridgeartstheatre.com Clare did give a reason in an interview why she and Julie have rarely appeared together since leaving Grange Hill. Although offered parts, they hadn't found the right one until the one in Holby City came up that they thought suited them. Ironically I have started putting my copies of the videos I have of Julie in Grange Hill - prior to Clare joining. It's amazing how different John Pickard looks as Neil Timpson to what he does now in Hollyoaks." Thanks for the pics Andrew! Who would have thought Holby City was the first time the Buckfields had appeared together since Grange Hill - amazing! And nice to have some early panto news as well. You're right about John Pickard - what a difference!

Robert Craig MorganJustin Bennett - as he is now 01/08/2006

Recognise this Grange Hill ex-pupil? It's none other than Justin Bennett, played by Robert Craig Morgan, who writes: "Hi to all at Grange Hill Online. I had great fun looking at your forum and all the stories and comments about the character Justin Bennett I played so long ago. Some of the entries are very funny with lots of talk about Andrew and me; funnily we were asked if we would do more of a storyline about our friendship, but more about that another time if you are interested. I was asked to do an interview for GH Gold but I was too busy to at the time what with doing up my cottage here in Ireland but I would be happy to do one with you if you are interested, and answer any questions that forum members might have! I have attached an up-to-date photo, but I do have more on the various different work I was involved with back in my acting days!"

Hi Robert and many thanks for the pic! You are most welcome to join the forum; we have a hidden Cast and Crew forum and there are more details about this here. Do tell us more about the friendship storyline with Justin and Andrew; it's always interesting to hear about ideas which never made it into the programme. As for the interview - many thanks, and I'll be in touch about this soon. Best wishes and hope you continue to enjoy the site!

Gripper turns to the terraces 01/08/2006

David Maile is the director of Billy and Buggs - a short film in which Mark Savage (aka Gripper Stebson) plays a football thug. He writes: "Hi. We are in the final stages of a film which features Mark Savage (who is aeriously getting back into the acting game), and he has given us his blessing for us to share this information with all those interested in all aspects of Grange Hill. We would be grateful if you could add a link to our site at www.billyandbuggs.com and you are of course free to use any of the following publicity material. Should you be aware of any other sources which may be interested in this project we would be extremely grateful if you could pass it on to them. Warmest regards, David"

Hi David. Nice to hear Mark is getting back into acting and I'm sure Gripper fans all over the country are looking forward to Billy And Buggs - we certainly are! We have place a link to your site and trust you will return the compliment.
