The sixth form gather
or Baz's funeral along with Tanya, Emma and Kyle. Tanya is dismayed
by Togger's absence, unaware he's hiding in the distance. The Year
11s handle it better than the sixth formers; Donnie believes the service
bore no relevance whatsoever to the Baz everyone knew. Back at school,
Tanya confronts Togger about his no-show and says that by staying
away, he's only made himself look guilty.
Holly is disgusted to see the floral tributes have been removed
and recovers them from the bins. Emma and Kyle watch from the roof
and she alerts Karen. The sixth form try to calm Holly down but
Karen arrives, with an extremely drunk Kathy in tow!
Having had no time to prepare for her radio slot, Eleanor practically
forces Alex to do an interview. His interview is lacklustre and all
he can think about is the trade he's losing. Tigger tries to tell
Eleanor about his idea for a radio magic show; she's too busy catching
up on gossip to pay any attention but grants them a slot anyway.
The mourners continue their vigil on the football pitch. Kathy
slurs how she really fancied Baz but never had chance to do anything
about it - and wallows in self-pity about being "safe, predictable
old Kathy". Max remembers Baz's fearlessness when they abseiled
from the school roof; Martin admired how Baz didn't treat him any
different from anyone else and that's how he knew he was a true
friend. But it all becomes too emotional for Donnie who leaves.
Donnie confronts McDonnell about removing the flowers; McDonnell thinks
time to look to the future now the funeral has taken place and suggests
Donnie thinks of a more permanent memorial to Baz. Donnie suggests
a Baz Wainwright memorial trophy and the idea gets resounding approval.
Togger becomes jealous when Luke calls Tanya. Max and Mooey chase
Alex into the kitchens - he forcefully tells them he won't pay them
any more and even destroys his smoothie maker and ingredients to
show he means business. To his surprise, Max then announces he's
calling it quits but it's a cruel bluff - he demands £10 a week
from Alex "and he doesn't care how he gets it"...
