 The Humphries now want
Alex to steal a microwave. Alison immediately suspects the brothers
are at him again. Alex warns Bryn to make himself available for more
dirty work but next thing he knows, Bryn has grassed him up for bullying
and Miss Gayle hauls him up for a meeting with his dad. Mr Pickering
is disgusted that Alex would even think of bullying someone else after
his own experiences; Alex himself is horrified he could have frightened
Bryn. Miss Gayle excludes him for a week, Dad tells his son he's ashamed
of him.
Mrs Bolton arrives to collect Emma for her appointment at the abortion clinic. As they wait, Mum gets a phone call saying there's a work emergency and, unbelievably in the circumstances, wastes no time driving back to the office, leaving Emma to face her fate alone. Emma tells Mum she loves her - and Mum doesn't know how to react. When Mum returns to the clinic Emma is already waiting outside for her - has she actually had anything done? Martin and Kathy are both having crises of confidence. Kathy worries about how her fellow students at Cambridge will react to her; Martin admits he just could not handle the whole uni experience and says he only applied to prove others wrong. They eventually head for their exam. Chloe has ran off mass copies of Max's poseur pic and manages to distract him - and amuse his classmates - as he sits his exam.Alison, Ed and Tigger press Alex for details of his situation. He's still too terrified to rat on the Humphries but he breaks down and all comes out in the open. Tigger is so outraged he goes off to find Togger, who, against Abel's better judgement, rallies thefootball team to teach the Humphries a lesson they won't forget. A mass brawl engulfs the playground and as the Humphries go after Alex, Togger goes after them. Alison alerts Miss Gayle who hauls the Humphries, Togger and Donnie into her office; Togger risks his future at Grange Hill to coerce Alex into telling all. It's Tanya's party but she's smarting from the non-appearances of Togger and Emma. She admits to Karen that perhaps it really never will happen for her and Togger. Emma appears suddenly and they go off so Emma can pour her heart out about the day's events. Togger has arrived at the party ready to sweep Tanya off her feet but when he can't find her, he too admits it may never happen. |
