 Tanya tries to persuade
Emma to gorge on chocolate in a bid to convince Karen she has an eating
disorder and not a baby on the way. Tanya present Karen with the "evidence"
a bag full of spent chocolate wrappers - Karen is suspicious as she'd
worked it out days ago. In anticipation of his date with Tanya, Togger
comes to school wearing a potent after-shave, but he's more concerned
that Donnie will try and nobble him on the football pitch.
Kathy is nervous about her driving test - Donnie instantly takes a shine to her glamorous new look while Martin is quick to point out it won't do anything to sway the examiner! Chloe follows Max to the common room and picks up on the gossip about Emma's "bulimia" but her Year 9 classmates struggle to believe her. Max warns Chloe to to stay out of the common room in future. Martin suggests Emma's problem might not be bulimia after all - and that she could be pregnant! Karen refuses to listen but Eleanor is more receptive. Before Karen can stop them, Ross and Donnie disappear to spread the gossip that Emma is pregnant by Togger! One of the first people Donnie tells about the pregnancy is Chloe!Kathy passes her driving test - and she wasn't expecting to. Martin is increasingly worried about why Kathy is going to so much effort to get noticed by Donnie but Amber tells him to lighten up. Kathy is worried about the amount of outstanding homework she needs to catch up on, but Eleanor finally browbeats her into enjoying a night on the town, much to Martin's annoyance. Year 9's guinea pig watch is proving fruitless, until Cuddles appears fleetingly on screen - Ed and Tigger think he's mutated because the camera makes him look so big! Emma is getting stares in the playground and realises people think she has an eating disorder. Tanya admits she has told Togger the truth - Emma is horrified but Tanya says she can't deal with it on her own and didn't know what else to do. Emma still thinks Kyle's reappearance will solve all her problems; Tanya urges her to tell mum or even speak to Miss Gayle. Miss Gayle is out for the afternoon but Mr McDonnell tries to help, and is rather unsympathetic.Ed and Tigger visit the changing room where Cuddles appeared on film but can't find the guinea pig. Togger and Abel turn up for the match and all Togger can think about is his post-match date. Mr McDonnell tells Donnie Baz's memorial cup has been approved. He warns Donnie against any monkey business on the pitch - but Donnie still headbutts Togger viciously in goal. Chloe and Andrea warn Karen about the pregnancy rumours now circulating about Emma. Ed, Tigger, Sammy and Alison plan an overnight ghost-hunt - all they'll have to do is con Taylor into letting them in! As a last resort, Tanya phones Mrs Bolton. In the playground, the truth is well and truly out and Emma blames Tanya for blabbing. Mrs Bolton drags Emma off into the car and the school looks on as Emma confirms she is pregnant. Mrs Bolton accuses Emma of ruining her every chance of happiness - she was trapped into a loveless marriage to her dad for years and missed out on a new life in Indonesia because of her! Tanya accuses Togger of spilling the beans - he's astonished but bang goes their date... |
