 It's Kathy's 18th birthday
and her classmates are surprised she didn't remind them. Karen and
Eleanor plan a surprise party; Chloe overhears them asking Donnie
if he wants to come. Chloe ambushes Max and tells him he'll be able
to show her off at the party!
Following her no-show at the football match, Togger thinks Tanya is messing with his head but asks Tanya to come along tonight if she can. Tanya warns Emma she has to think about what to do and soon - Emma doesn't want to go to the doctors because her mum would find out. At first Emma is certain Kyle would never do the dirty on her, then realises she's been taken for a fool and he's never coming back. A crowd gathers to see Ed and Tigger's latest card trick - which is almost ruined by Bryn explaining how they did it! Tigger has smuggled Lucy's guinea pig, Cuddles, into school for his disappearing trick. When Cuddles reappears, he appears to be dead! Ed and Tigger argue about how they're going to explain things to Lucy when she passes the radio studio. Mooey tells Alex he's going to launch a raffle - and that he'll steal the "prizes". Alex steals Bryn's bottle holder and warns him in no uncertain terms not to grass. Donnie storms off the football pitch for a second time, unable to play with Togger.Kathy's friends are about to launch their surprise party when Kathy's relatives burst in and take over. Their party proves a cringeworthy affair, with photos from primary school, embarrasing childhood tales and the cheesiest music imaginable. A thoroughly mortified Kathy seeks refuge in the plentiful supply of wine. Chloe finally goes on a date with Max - but he's gobsmacked when he takes her to the party. The others are amused by Max's choice of date. Lucy tells Togger about Cuddles and he forces Tigger to open the magic box - the guinea pig has gone! Ed and Tigger frantically search the dance floor. Now well-inebriated, Kathy moans to Donnie about how her parents expect too much from her, he shares his woes about Baz and they enjoy each other's company, which alarms Martin. Max proves a hot-shot on the dance floor when he takes a turn with Karen. Chloe insists on a goodnight kiss - Max makes her close her eyes and places Cuddles within puckering distance!Tanya warns Emma she can't just ignore her situation, and if she does nothing it'll affect the rest of her life. But she vows to support Emma whatever she decides. Donnie persuades Mrs McIlroy to let Kathy go home alone - and alarm bells ring when her friends realise she and Donnie have left. |
