 After struggling to get
Tigger out the door on time, Togger is made late by little sister
- and new Year 7 - Lucy, who hasn't even changed into her uniform!
Thanks to her, they have to sneak into school via the back way. En
route, Lucy is intrigued by a traveller's settlement which has surfaced
from nowhere.
The new term gets off to a bumpy start quite literally for Kathy, who's having a driving lesson and crashes into the school gates. She reveals she's under pressure from her parents to drive - a skill she'll need if, as her parents hope, she gets a place at Oxbridge. Baz and Holly celebrate a year together, but Holly admits she was annoyed by Donnie's lingering presence over the summer. Donnie presses Baz for intimate details, but he remains tight-lipped. Tigger and Ed jovially pounce on Alex but they knock him over complete with the smoothies he was planning to sell on his stall! New first years size up the school. Jenny confides in Jake about constantly being compared to sisters Tanya and Karen, and Bryn finds himself pushed around by the bullies. A scuffle breaks out between Jenny, Lucy and Tigger; Tanya and Togger dive into defend their siblings. Togger and Tanya are pushed into each other's arms, which they rather enjoy - Abel notices their chemistry!Emma hides in the toilets. She manages to dodge Tanya at first but eventually Tanya corners her in the cubicle and is horrified to discover Emma's face battered and bruised. Emma reveals her mum was responsible - she blames Emma for her break-up with Robin and they ended up coming to blows. Emma feels a little better when she mentions her forthcoming birthday. Jeremy asks Abel for advice on the best way to attract Emma. Abel suggests he send a text - but when he does, Emma replies with a firm rebuff. Andrea can't believe it when Chloe tells her she fancies Max - but he ignores her when she says hi.Alex sets up his smoothie stall. Max and Mooey demand their supply of refreshments and when he refuses, they trash the stall. Taylor tries to intervene but Max coolly reminds him that as a staff member he can no longer "sort him out"…McDonnell arrives and is not impressed by Taylor's lack of action. Sammy hates seeing Alex picked on and wants to help, but Chloe is quick to warn her against it. She continues her pursuit of Max as he leaves the crime scene. The day ends and Kathy is shocked when her driving instructor is waiting for her in the playground. Man of little words Ali rescues Bryn from the bullies, while Lucy and Jenny square up again…Togger and Tanya realise it's going to be a long year! |
