Tanya seethes as Togger fails to show for the video shoot; she thinks he's stayed away deliberately to wind her up. Filming proceeds with Martin as a replacement groom; the shoot is interrupted by a furious Mrs Bassinger, demanding to know where Togger is. Unknown to any of them, Togger, Abel and Andy are cowering in the shed, pondering what the hell to do now and whether they can get out of this one. Abel is so terrified his bladder gives out. Malachay corners Tigger regarding Togger's whereabouts. Tigger phones his brother but his mobile turns out to be inside his locker. Tigger remembers Togger said something about "getting to the bottom" of the drains saga. Malachay and Mr Fox update an increasingly irate Mrs Bassinger, who blames Malachay and his plea bargain. Alex and Ed proudly reveal their new G-1 poster to Mrs Bassinger, who is unimpressed with the austere winners' prizes and most of the profit going to the organisers. The lads can't believe they'd have to give 25% to the school - plus 5% for the Indonesian exchange.
Maddie moans to Taylor in the common room, generally feeling hard done by. She thinks he's a loser for jacking in a weekly wage, but he wants to find his own direction in life. He tells Maddie behind her bravado is a childish individual with no friends - even Karen had deserted her. Taylor suggests she stand for school council if she hates the school so much. When she rubbishes the idea, Taylor confronts her with more home truths - from being the girl everyone wanted to be, Maddie has lost all her friends not to mention Baz. He challenges her to leave school - what's stopping her, at least he had the guts to come back. Togger spots a skylight and sees this as an escape route. The lads jump on top of the tiger's cage, and pull themselves towards the skylight using a chain.
Togger finds a bucket and puts it on his head as a battering ram; Abel and Andy push him through the glass. Togger races back to school while men with guns surround the shed. No-one believes Togger's story so he drags Mr Fox back to the shed. By this time the shed is empty; Andy and Abel hide themselves in bins and have liberated one of the monkeys. The ape runs off - heading straight for Grange Hill, where it runs amok through corridors and sets off a fire extinguisher!
It turns out an illegal animal trade was taking place and thanks to the day's events, the offenders have been caught. Mrs Bassinger is seething and tears strips off Togger especially. Thanks to him, the monkey caused considerable damage and the shed owner is now more determined to hold up work on the drains. Togger's detention gets doubled with Tanya let off. Determined to defend his actions, Togger is unable to out-talk the headmistress and has to be stopped from storming back into her office.
