Togger and co. plan a weekend away in Andy's mobile home. They'll invite the Martian Twins and, as far as their parents are concerned, are staying at Jeremy's. Togger invites some "mates" along, angering Andy who fears what might happen to the mobile home. Andy admits to Emma he was dreading the whole affair. She urges him to say no to his mates.

Taylor works hard but as he nips out for air, Mrs Bassinger corners him. She warns if the essay isn't handed in by the end of the day, he's finished at Grange Hill. Holly proof-reads his efforts but doesn't seem keen. With no-one to hang out with, Donnie tries crawling back to Eleanor. In front of Holly, she tells him he's sexist, racist and no wonder no-one wants to be with him!

Mooey gives Alex a final reminder about the race; Alex seems resigned to losing. Ed announces he was going to Euro Disney in the summer - and that he could take a friend if they paid. That rules Tigger out...Ed feels guilty for saying anything. Alison suggests they could give the enterprise money to Tigger if they won but Alex goes one better; if he wins, he'll give Tigger the prize money. When the race gets underway, Ed announces Alex's plan which spoils the surprise for Tigger - and puts pressure on Alex to do the right thing.

Jeremy asks Emma for advice on his date with Tanya. They do some roleplay but Jeremy is just too nerdy; Emma urges him to relax and be himself. Baz and Holly are getting on better until he asks about his chances with a girl in the Upper Sixth! Holly takes the reins and asks Baz out after school. Tanya looks dejected as she spots the couple. Jeremy waits in the canteen for Tanya to show, when she doesn't, Wally chucks him out.

Mrs Bassinger starts the G-1 final. Mooey stands over Alex's shoulder and tries all manner of dirty tricks to sabotage his chances. After a nail-biting race, Alex is the winner. Alex puts his winnings in his locker but in the excitement forgets to lock it. Mooey appears and, to everyone's surprise, congratulates Alex on his win. Later, Alex goes to retrieve the cash and finds the key still in the lock. In place of the money is a note from Mooey - "I'm the winner!"

Togger finds Jeremy in the toilets, heartbroken after Tanya's no-show. Jeremy wishes he had Togger's confidence with girls; Togger admits he is terrified at going away and if he could get out of it, he would. Sure enough the twins cancel the holiday, much to everyone's relief. Feeling worthless, Taylor tells Mrs Bassinger he has no work for her and disposes of his essay on the way out. Holly waits for Baz at the gates; eventually she realises he isn't going to show.
