The lads board the bus for their match against Boswald House. Mr Malachay is not looking forward to it because of Boswald's reputation, but Mr McDonnell is all set. As the bus leaves, Baz and Tanya exchange sweet smiles. Sure enough, the Boswald boys play dirty and floor Donnie, Abel and Togger. Malachay has to stop Togger getting into a fight. Donnie rallies the troops and Grange Hill give as good as they get; they come away the victors. Malachay is far from impressed with Togger's behaviour on the pitch while Togger comes away nursing a sprained ankle.

Tanya is geared up for her school council meeting - Mrs Bassinger warns her not mess up. Tanya puts the case for girls being allowed to wear tracksuit trousers but says she was forced into direct action because no-one was listening. Mrs Bassinger asks her to canvass opinion of the whole school - if more than 70% of girls support Tanya - and she behaves herself - she'll put the idea to the governors. Tanya is delighted with her breakthrough.

Something is on Emma's mind; she can't get Tanya's attention so Kathy offers her a friendly ear. Emma tells her about the Indonesian exchange and Kathy offers to put up some posters for her. Taylor finds the radio station door blocked by a mountain of goods for E-Grange. A furious note from Kat warns him to "sort it". Kathy and Dawn are busy preparing the after-school cafe for its opening night - and are stunned when Taylor tells people to take their E-Grange goods straight to the cafe! Karen confronts Taylor about missing lessons. He tells her everything is under control but he wants the radio station to work for the pupils. He's found three keen Year 8 girls to help him - one of whom is Andrea! Later, Mr McDonnell warns Taylor his constant absences have not gone unnoticed.

Martin is exhausted having to constantly refuel the incinerator - and making sure a repeat of the PE kit incident doesn't happen. Seeing how busy the toilets are, he comes up with "Stop And Stoke" - a scheme encouraging toilet users to help fuel the incinerator on the way back. The cafe is full of Taylor's clutter and Kathy finds Emma's posters ripped to shreds. When the cafe opens, there are few customers and Kathy is aghast with Dawn's choice of Bohemian decor. Taylor arrives to provide music but finds he only has to play a CD of ambient music! Baz and Tanya arrange to meet up in the cafe; they enjoy each other's company and arrange a proper date. Jeremy sees them together and is upset. He is mystified when Kathy accuses him of destroying Emma's posters. Abel inspires Togger to make a video for his toilets campaign.

Togger tells Abel his dad lost his appeal against his driving ban, and to keep it quiet. Jeremy accuses Emma of making him a scapegoat for the damaged posters. She is in a state and suddenly, a load of ripped posters fall out of her locker. Emma admits she did it - because Robin has got a job in Indonesia so she'll have to move there...
