Annie is annoyed that Dad
had bought Baz a PlayStation for not getting in the football squad;
but Tanya and Emma are too wrapped up in the e-mails they've had from
the French lads. Malachay tells Abel to see him at lunchtime - he
has some news for him. Togger seems certain they've made it into the
squad but Andy warns him not to count his chickens. Sammy warns Chloe
she can't carry on supplying sweets, but Chloe seems not to care.
Under pressure to drum up numbers for the mentoring scheme, Malachay
puts the idea of a mentor to Alex.
Spencer is determined the film would be something the pupils want
and not the teachers. Mrs Bassinger favours something contemporary;
Mr Malachay prefers My Fair Lady. Malachay is in full toadying mode
and encourages the pupils to vote for the contemporary option. The
pupils, keen to make things go against him, make a point of voting
for My Fair Lady. Taylor makes his DJ debut and sends up the school
notices and the staff. Mrs Bassinger hauls him up before her and
Taylor defends his actions. Mrs Bassinger allows the station to
continue, Kat warns Taylor to tone down his act and he's forced
to deliver a humiliating on-air apology.
Malachay tells Abel he was in the squad. But Togger isn't- and is
so upset he hides in the corner and breaks down. Chloe agrees to wind
up the tuck shop to pay off Sammy's dad, but at lunchtime Malachay
catches the girls trading. Chloe and Andrea disappear, leaving Sammy
to carry the can. Malachay confiscates the sweets and places Sammy
in charge of the healthy eating stall. Spencer is less than thrilled
when Malachay persuades him to join the mentoring scheme. Realising
it would impress the girls, he reluctantly agrees. A meeting is set
up between Spencer and Alex; Spencer tells Alex he has no time for
his problems and to tell Malachay everything was OK when asked!
Andy and Abel can't find Togger; the girls are so wrapped up in
their French e-mailing Andy blurts out that Togger was rejected.
Togger reacts badly when he bumps into Tanya and she tries to show
genuine concern. The film team are amazed when My Fair Lady wins
the film vote. Spencer knows something is amiss and vows to overturn
the result. Abel catches up with Togger and tactlessly invites him
for a kickabout - he just wants to go home.
