 The school gets ready for
the film premiere. Tanya is frustrated that one week after her meeting
with Lucy, the police have still not caught their attacker. She's
hesitant about dressing up for the premiere in case she attracts unwanted
attention. Ms Lawrence puts the Wannabees on parking attendant duty.
Chloe tries unsuccessfully to talk her way out of it. Karen and Maddie
are still not talking; Martin tries to help. He tells Karen Maddie
had only kissed Taylor to set him up - and was only trying to protect
her. Baz hopes he'd be going with Maddie - but she plans to go with
"someone special".
The big night arrives and everyone flocks to the main entrance as the limo pulls up. Togger anticipates some major talent but is crestfallen as Emma, Jeremy, Spencer, Alex and Alison emerge. Alison drops her handbag - Alex bends down to pick it up but his trousers give way. Kathy, dressed to impress, still can't get Spencer's attention. Jeremy delights in rubbing Dawn's nose in it for dropping him - and offers the two spare places in his limo to Alex and Alison. The Wannabees charge each visitor £1 "or more" for parking, unaware Tigger is spying on them. Kathy and Baz are surprised that Martin and Maddie have paired up for the night. Togger and Andy find themselves on the hot dog stall - and have fun messing around with everyone's food! Alex's confidence has taken a bad knock after the trousers incident; Alex and Alison find him cowering in the corner. Alison tells him to pull himself together and gives him her cardigan - in doing so, revealing her eczema. As the screening begins, Tanya's phone rings and she leaves to take the call. Karen goes after her; and Maddie follows. Karen and Maddie finally make up. Tanya is overcome as she announces the police have caught her attacker.At the end of the film, Spencer gives his speech. Kathy is surprised that Spencer doesn't want to show the underground film. So when Malachay gets up to give his own speech, she runs the film herself. Malachay is furious but Mrs Bassinger is somewhat amused - the audience roars with laughter. The Wannabees count their rich pickings - but Ms Lawrence, having been alerted by Tigger, makes them hand over the cash for the community cohesion project. The other Year 7s watch as the girls emerge shamefaced. Annie has her eye on the takings as she sees them being counted. Kathy offloads her woes to Karen, who encourages her to be pushy with Spencer. Togger and Tanya's larking about brings down the curtain - literally - revealing Malachay and Miss Adams in a passionate clinch. Karen is about to leave but Taylor asks her to dance. Spencer confronts Kathy and they kiss. Everyone dances - apart for Baz who feels frozen out. |
