Baz and Max return following
their exclusions. Their parents are called in to see Mrs Bassinger
who agrees to give Baz a fresh start. Mrs Bassinger tells Mr Wainwright
Annie is making good progress at school. Annie opens her credit card
bill and is horrified to find she owes over £600. Baz, meanwhile,
demands to know where she got the money from for Tanya's clothes.
Tanya gives Annie a cheque but it is made out to Annie's mum - how
will she get out of this one?
Chloe and Andrea turn their venomous attentions to Alison. Alex
tries apologising to Alison but she is uneasy around him. Alex is
left to work alone in class. The feud between Togger and Abel continues
apace with Abel refusing to play in the school match. Togger accuses
him of letting his mates down and refuses to let Abel copy his work.
Max's arm might be broken but not his malevolence - he takes another
shot at Baz who pins him to the wall. Mr Wainwright breaks up the
sparring pair; Maddie appears as a father-and-son row erupts. Maddie
and Baz appear to be getting on, but Baz said he can't be "just
friends". Dad almost catches Annie with her credit card bill. Baz
catches her selling CDs and demands answers. She claims she got
them off Dad's credit card. Annie carpets Baz for getting excluded.
Tanya rushes out of class feeling sick; she runs to the toilets and
breaks down. Tearfully, she admits to Karen she isn't coping with
her ordeal. What made Tanya bolt was the discovery of an e-mail, apparently
from a girl claiming to have had a similar encounter with her attacker.
Tanya fears it's really from him - how did this "girl" get her e-mail
address - on the other hand it could be genuine. Karen urges her to
tell someone. Alex tries again to apologise to Alison - and hints
he won't be bothering her again. He continues his video diary, saying
the only time he can shut everything out was when he was under water.
Spencer sends Alex away when he tried handing over the footage - he's
too preoccupied with finishing the film. Alex leaves the DVDs on the
table.
The school gets ready to watch the football match. Alex takes a
detour back into Miss Adams' classroom, where he fills his bag with
heavy textbooks. He then proceeds to the swimming pool and throws
himself in. Spencer sifts through Alex's footage and remains oblivious
to his agonies - until he spots a DVD labelled "For Mum and Dad".
Spencer races to the pool and is joined by Baz, who finds the lifeless
Alex face-down in the water. Baz jumps in but cannot pull him out.
The pair get the bag off and winch Alex out of the pool. Spencer
shouts for help as he and Baz try to resuscitate him. Annie and
Tanya witness the horror, and call an ambulance.
As Mr Malachay rushes to the pool, Tanya and Annie vow no matter how
bad things get, they'll never consider ending it all. Alex regains
consciousness and is taken away in an ambulance; Malachay praises
Baz for his swift actions but Spencer realises he's let Alex down
big time. |
