| Baz admitted his ultimatum was a bluff. Mr Wainwright exploded again
when he and Annie left for school. In his rage, he smashed the clock
on the mantelpiece. Annie was again late for school and claimed she
was at the dentist yesterday. Togger decided to target Year 7 in his
latest scam - as it was Year 7 club day, he planned to confuse them
by making fake entrances with the new door. The scam succeeded initially
but soon everyone got wise to it. Shannon gave Togger a piece of her
mind when caught in one of the traps.
Josh forced Martin and Kathy to talk, and she admitted the groping episode upset her. Kathy told Josh it was partly his fault and Josh suggested Martin get her a present. Mel still wasn't talking to Nick. Taylor continued to goad him. Shannon's intervention stopped a playground fight but the pair eventually came to blows in the corridor. Mrs Bassinger sent them to her office and warned Taylor he was on his last chance. He refused to accept he was in the wrong, and both were sent home. Spencer and Calvin realised Tanya gave them the laxative. Annie kept defending her dad but Baz feared if things got any worse, everyone would know something's wrong. They returned home to find himself feeling sorry for himself. Baz tried calling his social worker but Dad grabbed the phone before storming upstairs. Baz realised he'd taken the whole bottle of pills. Mel warned Shannon against defending Nick but she was having none of it. When Shannon learned the truth she confronted Nick but stuck by him. Karen was shocked when Taylor made a move on her. Ian overheard Mrs Bassinger on the phone - it was Mr Robson, saying he wouldn't be coming back.Spencer and Calvin took Togger's door, much to Abel and Andy's relief. Martin presented Kathy with her present - a ball (Josh mentioned both were no good at catching). Kathy refused it and said it was over between them. Mr Wainwright shut himself in the toilets; Baz and Annie were terrified. Eventually he responded and Baz called Adele, his social worker. She arrived with two doctors who broke the door down to get Dad out. Dad was taken away in an ambulance but hadn't taken the pills. Adele told Baz and Annie they might have to go into care. Annie hit out at Baz for involving social services. Josh told Martin he didn't have all the answers and said he must start making his own decisions - Martin felt the only two people he trusted had deserted him. |
