| Togger, Abel and Andy turned up early at school, armed with spades
in their quest for the time capsule. They were almost interrupted
by Wally but he didn't notice them. Ian persisted in trying to make
contact with Shannon, but she accused him of stalking. At school,
Mel tried offering Shannon the benefit of her experience - she too
had lost her grandad.
Tanya came to school wearing a fake tan. Wally confronted the lads
for digging up the garden while Tanya tried pushing Emma and Andy
together. Tanya tried to muscle in on the time capsule search, but
Togger sent her away. Kathy told Maddie what happened but insisted
it wasn't Martin's fault. Martin couldn't understand why Kathy was
blanking him. Maddie confronted Martin in class; telling him he
was a sleazebag just like everyone else. Martin asked Josh why Kathy
was blanking him; Josh asked if he'd got his timing right and Martin
was furious Josh didn't mention this to him. Josh asked Kathy what
happened and she continued to defend him. Kathy was furious with
Maddie for trashing Martin, and they came to blows in the corridor.
Annie left her project notes at home and went back to get them. She
returned to find her dad in a volatile state and he refused to let
her out the door. Once he calmed down, Owen told Annie he didn't want
her to be like him and that she shouldn't have come home. Annie was
understanding if nervous and asked for an assurance he wouldn't disappear
again. Tanya was furious Annie wasn't there for their presentation.
Wally made the lads fill the holes they dug and carry in some doors
(with secret compartments) in for him. Tanya again demanded in on
the capsule scam; Togger shut her inside the door! Eventually Wally
revealed the location of the capsule - in the sports fields which
were sold off.
Shannon and Mel became friendly. She wondered why she should care
about her gran as she'd die eventually. Ian couldn't believe his
ears and she later arranged to meet Nick. Taylor revealed Nick's
secret in front of the whole playground. Nick was desperate to find
Anika to put his side of the story, but she was reading about the
attack on the web. Spencer warned Anika against being quick to judge;
no-one knew better than him what it's like to be branded racist.
Anika confronted Nick and an angry crowd gathered. Taylor said Nick
wasn't welcome at Grange Hill.
Alarm bells rang when Baz discovered Annie wasn't in school. He rushed
home to find how nervous Annie was around her father. He angrily told
him Annie shouldn't have to deal with his problems at her age, and
if he didn't sort himself out he and Annie would leave. |
