| The bunting was decked out as Grange Hill celebrated its 125th anniversary.
Togger, Abel and Andy were furious at being landed with the sandwich
stall again. To make matters worse, Wally dumped his pet goat - Charlie
Parker - with the lads! Togger fell for a Goth chick who came to the
stall; to their horror, Andy revealed it was his sister, Kate! Spencer
and Calvin also took a shine to her, and pretended they were the stars
of the DVD!
Mrs Bassinger started proceedings by announcing she was the school's
new head. Ian had one last thing to do at Grange Hill - to referee
the vintage soccer match in period costume. Shannon was handing
out leaflet to prospective sixth formers; she exchanged pleasantries
with him but they still couldn't bring themselves to say how they
felt. Emma, Annie and Tanya dressed as suffragettes to protest against
swipe cards. They tried gatecrashing Kathy's presentation in the
ICT suite, but Kathy managed to contain them. When that failed,
they handcuffed themselves to the goalpost and held up the football
match!
Baz appealed to Maddie for another chance. She couldn't give an answer
and confided in Kathy that she wasn't as experienced as she made out.
Maddie said all she wanted was to have a laugh. Eventually she told
Baz she wasn't giving him another chance. Togger and Andy were horrified
to discover Charlie had gone. Little did they know that he'd gone
off with a year 6 lad visiting the school; Charlie had also eaten
Jeremy's sheet music! Mrs Bassinger was dreading what sort of a mess
the orchestra would be without Mrs Knuckle, but with Jeremy's help
they delivered a superb performance of the William Tell overture.
Togger and co. tried to intercept the time capsule but were disturbed
by Malachay, who dug it up and brought it in. Andy was surprised
when, after a whole year looking for it, Togger didn't want to open
the box. The commemorative DVD got its premiere; Calvin and Spencer
were furious that Malachay had edited them out. Nick gave a thought-provoking
speech about prejudice. The moment had finally arrived to unveil
the contents of the time capsule; much to everyone's horror, Charlie
had eaten all the contents before trampling the countdown clock!
Togger was horrified to find the Year 6 boy - it was his brother,
Tigger, who'd be starting next year. Togger warned Tigger to keep
right away from him next term.
Ian left for the coach station; leaving Shannon behind moping. Nick
told her Ian had been waiting all day for her to say the word, and
he would have stayed. Still in period costume, Shannon ran to the
station but it appeared to be too late - the coach had already left.
Shannon returned home close to tears; but was delighted when the "customer"
turned out to be Ian. He told her he was still leaving, but would
come back at weekends for her. They hugged each other in delight.
Tigger found a pair of pants with a photo of Tucker attached - the
note said the real treasure was somewhere else! Tanya had forgotten
the handcuff keys; and all three girls remained chained up in the
gym! |
