| Taylor continued to hang around Nick and Mel. Ian called again at
Shannon's newsagent's, but it was still locked up. Once again he tried
calling her; unknown to him Shannon was looking on from the upstairs
window. Mrs Knuckle's attempts to drum up interest in the school orchestra
fell flat, with no interest from either Year 8 or Year 10.
Togger did a roaring trade in chicken claws. Spencer and Calvin
booby-trapped the common room door with a piece of string; Anika
and Ian were tripped up fair and square! Hudson was not amused and
pinned the jokers to the wall, warning the pair against doing it
again. Ian pulled up Baz for missing football training, Baz pointed
out his knee was still funny and Ian was forced to apologise.
Emma was still worried about Annie's situation and Tanya caught her
looking up bipolar disorder on the web. Emma was worried Annie could
inherit the condition and labelled the Wainwrights as mad. Tanya accused
Emma of being a nasty troublemaker, but she insisted she just wanted
to learn more. The new English teacher, Mr Green, arrived at Grange
Hill. At first he tried to be friendly with Year 8 but they took advantage
and swapped their name cards round. Mr Malachay came in and warned
them to behave or face detention. He advised Mr Green to take a tough
line - and he did, much to the class's astonishment. He was still
clearly in a muddle. When it came to Year 10, Mr Green was unimpressed
by Taylor's attitude and sent him out of the lesson.
Alone and sullen in the flat, Shannon continued to ignore her calls.
Nick continued to goad Ian; he urged Taylor to forget their past
and move on. Taylor was unmoved; Mel thought Taylor was stalking
her. In cookery, Togger tried to hide the chicken claws but Mrs
Knuckle spotted them and, thinking they were real, gave an impromptu
lesson on cooking them! The lads' efforts to set her straight fell
flat and they looked on in horror as she boiled one in a saucepan.
She made Andy taste the melted mixture; causing him to throw up!
Maddie advised Kathy that her relationship with Martin should be
well beyond the kissing stage by now. Tanya was again pulled up
for wearing earrings; her response was to customise them with chicken
claws! Mrs Bassinger was not amused. Loose wires were hanging in
the corridors. After carpeting Spencer and Calvin, Anika got an
idea for her anniversary project - a DVD of the school's history.
Spencer and Calvin moved on tot heir next moneymaking scheme - pretending
to be dummies in shop windows! Taylor followed Nick and Mel home;
Mel told him in no uncertain terms she wasn't interested; Taylor
challenged Mel to ask Nick about "what happened"...
Nick spotted Shannon running from her shop - Ian ran after her. Shannon
revealed her grandfather died suddenly. He tried comforting her but
Shannon pushed him away and insisted on being left alone. Ian was
frustrated at not being able to help. Mrs Bassinger was not impressed
by Tanya and Annie's customised earrings. Togger, Abel and Andy connected
their chicken claws to the wires. They animated one using a battery
- Mrs Bassinger was petrified and declared the claws were now banned! |
