| Tanya diplomatically asked Emma if she wrecked her DVD entry. Furious,
Emma gave Annie and Tanya a piece of their mind - she was only their
friend whenever she bought them something or offered to take them
on holiday. This struck a chord with Annie who realised they'd been
bullying her. Emma stayed in at breaktime to replace the damaged artwork;
Miss Dyson presented her with the repaired original. Annie's attempts
to genuinely apologise fell on deaf ears, but Emma knew she ruined
her artwork and promised to tell Mrs Bassinger.
Mrs Bassinger called Taylor in to see her. He turned up alone but
stormed out of Mrs Bassinger's office, adamant Mr Green's word would
be taken above his. Taylor watched as Mr Green cleared his room;
Mr Green apologised but Taylor was having none of it. Steve convinced
Taylor he could be good if he tried, and in a surprise move Taylor
offered to drop the allegation. Taylor defied his exclusion to join
Karen in class; She urged him not to bring down Mr Green, saying
everyone made mistakes but above all, she wanted him to stay. Taylor
went off and mulled things over - then surprised Mrs Bassinger by
retracting her allegations. Some things were worth staying on for,
he decided.
Upset at Emma's rejection, Annie left her dad a damning voicemail
telling him he'd ruined her life. Mrs Bassinger pulled Annie out of
class - her dad had come to talk things over. Annie tried to persuade
Dad to take his pills; when she was getting nowhere an emotional confrontation
ensured. Annie reminded him of how she'd ended up looking after Dad
when she should have been out doing normal things with him; she'd
become jealous and bitter with everything she had to give up. Realising
how upset Annie was, he agreed to take his pills. Mr Green thanked
Taylor but his fate remained with the governors.
Having now finished their exams, the sixth formers tidied up loose
ends before leaving. Ian thanked Malachay for everything and Malchay
offered him a summer job as a football coach in a summer camp. Mrs
Bassinger tried persuading Shannon to go to university, but she
was resigned to becoming a newsagent. Mel and Nick were back on
speaking terms after Shannon told her about his confession. Annie,
Emma and Tanya put their cards on the table and realised they'd
all been horrible to each other. They agreed to be friends. After
Annie's home truths, Dad went home and took his pills as promised.
An emotional reconciliation with Annie followed.
Ian's new job was 200 miles away and he called at Shannon's to say
an abrupt goodbye. Neither could admit their true feelings; Shannon
was left shell-shocked and Ian couldn't see the point of staying in
