| Emma didn't want to go to school, especially when she arrived to
be greeted by Jeremy. But mum was adamant and as usual, was more concerned
about getting to the office on time. Malachay tried to persuade Mr
Green to press charges against Taylor but he flatly refused. For once,
Taylor was looking forward to school and was summoned to Mrs Bassinger's
office. Mr Green still didn't want to take things further, but Taylor
was stunned when Mrs Bassinger told him he was excluded - this time
permanently. Leaving the office, Taylor told Baz of his fate and Karen
leapt to his defence; much to Maddie's amazement.
Kathy asked Spencer and Calvin to do the commentary on the school
DVD, but they refused. Their minds changed when Mrs Bassinger reminded
them of their misdemeanours around the school. It was the day of
Mr Wainwright's case conference and Baz and Annie waited anxiously
for news. Baz phoned the social worker and for a moment it seemed
like Mr Wainwright was coming home. Annie ran off excited, then
it became obvious the homecoming was off.
Emma rejected Jeremy's hand of friendship but then poured her heart
out. Jeremy revealed his dad always used to buy him off too. When
Emma revealed mum was more interested in her e-mail inbox, Jeremy
suggested she sent mum an e-mail telling how she feels. Emma sent
the e-mail confessing to Miss Dyson's presents. When she got home,
Emma was hoping this had done the trick; for a moment it appeared
Mum was going to spend more time with her. Instead she announced she
was sending Emma to a counsellor - and Emma couldn't believe this.
The sixth form went for their first exam. Before going in, Nick
was shocked to hear about Taylor's exclusion; Shannon was unsettled
by his concern. Nick found the exam every bit as bad as he feared.
Afterwards he told Shannon he'd seen Mr Green hit Taylor. However,
he was forced to admit why he was in the secretary's office and
Shannon was disgusted by his plans to cheat in the exams. Nick tried
to apologise but Shannon wasn't having any of it. Later, she told
Ian she now realised what a fool she was falling for Nick - and
letting Ian go.
Maddie was looking forward to her night out with Baz; she still had
worries about the relationship and Kathy told her to put herself first.
Kathy was still preoccupied with the Max situation. Baz rushed back
to the care home to find Annie packing, and had to break the news
to her that Dad wasn't coming home. A stood-up Maddie sent Baz a voicemail
telling him he was dumped. In town, Nick again pleaded with Shannon
but she wanted nothing more to do with him - for all his faults Taylor
wasn't a liar or a cheat. Taylor walked out of Grange Hill and headed
for the park, sad and dejected. |
