| After their first night in foster care, Annie struggled to adjust
to life away from home and was especially worried about sleeping in
a strange bed. Their mum hadn't once called to ask how they were.
Spencer and Calvin busked as "war victims" in the playground,
but Miss Dyson was not amused and "persuaded" them to help
her with Year 8's lesson. Max told Martin to miss history so he could
do some more homework for Max. Kathy became more concerned but Martin
insisted he didn't feel used. She then cornered Max, who told her
in no uncertain terms to keep her nose out. She later turned to Maddie
for advice.
Togger brought in a pig's head, supposedly for the WW2 project.
Togger's previous cuts were breeding maggots in his locker. Miss
Dyson thought Jeremy was the gift-giver and confronted him; Jeremy
insisted it wasn't him. Togger handed in his art homework but it
was full of maggots. Miss Dyson made 8D turn out their lockers and
Togger was warned not to bring any more meat into school. Jeremy
realised Emma was trying to buy Tanya's friendship with the holiday
and tried giving some friendly advice. Emma stormed off in disgust.
Emma told Tanya the holiday was off because of her dad's work commitments.
Tanya was furious. Jeremy told Togger he knew who the present-giver
was.
Baz's relationship with Maddie was on the rocks again. He didn't want
to spend time with her and Maddie felt left out. Maddie accused Baz
of taking his problems out on her but he was finding it more of a
struggle keeping it together for Annie. Then, Maddie stunned Baz by
dumping him. Ian announced he'd given up on Shannon, but he was clearly
still concerned about her. Shannon tried apologising to Ian; she admitted
she'd been a right cow but Ian was unmoved - she was using her grandad's
death as an excuse to push people away and he felt he didn't know
her any more. To make matters worse, Mrs Bassinger warned Shannon
she'd be put back a year unless she got her act together.
Togger, Abel and Jeremy kept watch for the present-giver in Miss
Dyson's room. They were about to give up when Emma turned up with
another package. Togger was amazed that Andy's "girlfriend"
was giving Miss Dyson presents! Martin missed history, as instructed,
but was worried about the consequences. He spent the lesson in the
toilets doing Max's homework. Kathy warned Max she would go to Mrs
Bassinger if he continued to use Martin. He warned Kathy if she
carried out her threat, he'd do Martin over...
