| Shannon went to visit her parents' grave on the anniversary of her
parents' death. Nick appeared not bothered when Ian told her, much
to his annoyance, but Nick passed the info onto Malachay, who was
chasing her outstanding coursework. Ian was surprised when she returned
to school. Malachay confronted Max about his unusually impressive
homework. Martin admitted to Kathy he'd created the web site for him.
When Max couldn't explain how he did it, Malachay gave him detention.
Max warned Martin not to screw up again; Martin couldn't grasp the
concept that Max didn't want to know how to do the work himself. Miss
Dyson pulled up Martin for the second time after he kicked the ball
straight into her.
Mrs Wainwright packed Baz and Annie's stuff, but they were determined
not to go and live with her. They met up in a cafe and drew up a
list of reasons why they should live with mum; unable to find any
plus points. Baz agreed on drastic action and thought that if he
threatened to put himself in care, Mum would back down and stay
with them. When Baz revealed what they'd done, Mrs Wainwright was
undaunted and adamant the move was happening. Mooey thought Jeremy
was Miss Dyson's admirer, but Jeremy told Mooey to get lost. He
later told Emma he wasn't the mystery gift-giver and because he
showed her respect, everyone thought he was a suck. Later, Miss
Dyson found Emma sobbing in the toilets.
Kathy was surprised Martin was playing football; he said he only hated
it previously because he didn't understand it. Later she found Martin
alone in the bike sheds, doing Max's homework. Martin wanted their
friendship to be like it was but Kathy said it couldn't be. Ian again
tried to warn Shannon that Nick was using her but she accused him
of jealousy. Frustrated, Ian stormed off and broke down in the toilets,
desperate to get back with Shannon and to look out for her. Mr Malachay
confronted Shannon about her missing coursework; she stormed off after
giving him an unfinished piece. Unknown to anyone, Emma was Miss Dyson's
mystery benefactor. She left another parcel on her desk. Mrs Wainwright
