| Emma can't convince Tanya of her suspicions and tells the lads Annie
is being beaten up at home. A catfight erupts when Emma badmouths
Mr Wainwright; Miss Dyson breaks them up but Annie refuses to apologise
and storms off to the toilets in tears. A concerned Maddie asks what
was wrong; finally Annie admits her dad is suffering from bipolar
disorder and hasn't been taking his pills. Emma wants to tell Miss
Dyson about Annie but Tanya ends their friendship, furious Emma has
dropped her in it.
The website pics of Malachay appear round the school. Josh and Martin have another look at the webcam; unaware Malachay has spotted it. They are stunned when suddenly he appears in the IT room to confront them. Malachay makes Martin delete the web site and sends the pair to Mr Robson. He excludes Josh and Martin for the rest of term. Nick and Anika get ready for the play. Amy wishes Anika good luck and says it would probably be her last visit to school. Anika urges her to think it over during the summer. Mr Robson is called away during the performance. Shannon sees a message on the website for "Year 12 Babe" - she assumes Nick has posted it for her. She tries asking him out - Nick says he's planned a quiet night in. Mel arrives and enjoys telling Shannon she and Nick are an item! Shannon storms off in tears, leaving Ian to comfort her. Togger, Andy and Abel are banned from taking part in sports day.Maddie calls for Baz at home. Mr Wainwright answers the door and invites her in; initially things are OK with Owen showing her the family album. When Maddie touches on his illness, he becomes agitated and she tries to leave. He tells her the pills stripped him of dignity. A terrified Maddie listens tearfully as he backs her into the wall; telling her how soul-destroying it is being thought of a freak simply because he had a chemical imbalance. When he backs off, Maddie tries making a phone call but Baz walks in. He pins Baz to the wall and Baz tells her to leave. A blazing row erupts between Baz and Owen. Maddie stands outside in horror; Annie arrives suddenly. Maddie calls the police who break the door down to find Baz unconscious and Owen collapsed in tears... |
