| Wally paints over the wall. Ian is furious. Mrs Bassinger carpets
him for promoting "anti-school propaganda" but Ian warns
her he isn't done yet. Nick angers him further by saying he's wasting
his time and doesn't care about the fields at all - he is motivated
by jealousy! Baz sends Annie back to school, but she worries about
running into Mrs Bassinger. Sure enough, Miss Bassinger reminds Annie
she wanted to speak to her dad.
Tanya resolves to wind Miss Dyson up by taking the school rules
literally. She refuses to answer the register (pupils must not talk
during registration), is late for history (pupils must walk on the
right side of corridors) and puts her PE kit on over her uniform.
Josh decides to post copies of the rules along the corridors to
see if everyone would follow them to the letter. And they do - causing
Wally to fall off a ladder and set the fire alarm off! Mrs Bassinger
suspects Tanya is behind it and carpets Miss Dyson!
Ian organises a sports demonstration to highlight the need to retain
the playing fields. Few people turn up and Mr Robson, who Ian wants
to see it, is away. Ian admits to Shannon it was never his choice
to join the army; his dad wanted him to and was furious when he
dropped out. Emma brands Baz a drug dealer and Annie a thief; she
advises Tanya to stay away from her. Tanya continues to give Annie
the benefit of the doubt but Annie suspects Emma planted the make-up
bag on her.
The girls do well on the football pitch. Martin is confused about
his feelings towards Kathy - Josh realises he fancied her. Martin
apologises for storming off but Kathy is disappointed when he isn't
sure if he wants more than friendship. Baz hides his dad's keys to
stop him going back to work, and once again sneaks his dad's pills
into his food. Eventually Baz is forced to admit he hid the keys -
Mr Wainwright savagely beats him, and Annie is horrified by his injuries.
