A letter arrives for Amy. Clare has received an unconditional offer for law school, but she's less than pleased about it. Suzie almost catches Maddie pouring booze into her school drinks, and she's upset when Suzie gives her money for food in case she isn't back when school finishes.

Lisa is still suffering with her agoraphobia but Tom and Matt persist with their efforts to persuade her outside. She comes to the door and manages to take a few tentative steps towards them before it again becomes too much for her. Josh worries about his forthcoming bar mitzvah, and Deverill sets Ian to work cleaning graffiti. He summons the web team and sacks Anika as website editor, installing Leah as editor and Amy as Year 10 rep. This forces Leah to confess to the Mrs Holmes article but not the original one. Leah organises another protest with Anika and Amy - taping their mouths in a silent protest. Deverill responds by sending them to his new creation - the Pupil Reflection Unit, where they will spend the rest of the day. With Leah now disqualified from the editors' job, Kathy is made website editor.

Michael still can't keep control of Year 11 and sends Ian out of the class for causing disturbance. Ian suspects Deverill was behind this and conveys his suspicions to Max as Deverill sadistically watches Ian scrub the walls. Margaret and Emily defend Ian but Michael is adamant the boy's a troublemaker. When Dai Hard breezes in with the news about Kathy being website editor, Holmes thinks she's losing control of the school.

In the toilets, an older girl forces Maddie to hand over her drink. Impressed that Maddie's bottles are full of booze, the girl takes Maddie to an off-licence Clare's dad arrives and she tells him she doesn't want to go to university. Mr Chaplin is incensed by his daughter's lack of gratitude for her previously private education. Leah and Anika are hailed as heroes when they emerge from the PRF. They both think it's worth it, even if their record books are now full of black marks. A visitor arrives for Lisa - it's Ray, who's now wheelchair-bound. He tells her he wasn't prepared to let the thugs who attacked him take away and urges her to fight to get back her freedom. Lisa desperately wants to.

Mr Robson is enjoying his time off and takes up gardening. Chris arranges for the sixth formers to eat at a posh restaurant at half price. Ozzie launches his quest to pull Vicky by turning up. He tries to apologise to Danny for his past transgressions - knowing he'll walk out, which he does.

Maddie and Tina tart themselves up to look older and Tina manages to get drink from an off-licence. As she does so, some passers-by become alarmed as a very drunk Maddie has climbed onto the roof and is close to falling.
