Alan
and Benny miss the bus because Tucker is dawdling. He's been up all
night watching videos "borrowed" from his brother's work!
The trio arrive late and fall foul of Mr Sutcliffe on gate duty. He
gives them detention. In assembly, Mrs McClusky announces she has
agreed to an end-of-term school disco. Trisha is cynical about the
head's reasons for giving the go-ahead. Mr Sutcliffe, feeling under
the weather, isn't amused to hear he's been put in charge of the disco.
Tucker offers to run the disco - with equipment on loan from his brother!
Sooty agrees and Tucker persuades him to waive detention so he can
get things organised. Trisha and Cathy shop for clothes; Cathy can't
decide on a dress. Trisha decides against buying any clothes "for
a school disco" and isn't really that thrilled about going. Alan
worries his mates are going to laugh at his choice of clothing - a
suit - and he is proved right as he helps Tucker and Tommy load the
gear. At school, preparations are under way. Susi admits to Pamela
it took some persuading getting Alan to wear the suit. Tommy continues
to rib Alan and they almost come to blows. Tommy unsuccessfully tries
chatting up Susi.
The
disco gets in full swing. One boy tries to pay his admission fee
with a Scottish fiver, but Justin refuses to accept it. Miss Mooney
points out the note is legal tender. Tommy's advances are rebuffed
and Tucker gets jealous seeing Pamela with another boy. On the door,
some impostors from Brookdale sneak past Justin and Andrew. Sooty
pairs up with a mystery blonde on the dance floor, making Miss Mooney
jealous and tongues wag. As Tommy lures Tucker on the dance floor,
the Brookdale boys have their eye on the disco gear. They also wait
to pounce on the takings which Justin is busy counting. Baxter prevents
a skirmish between Tucker and Doyle.
Tucker spots the Brookies but they sneak out and snatch the takings.
A scuffle breaks out and Tucker's gang get a pasting. The DJ deserts
his post to help; Tucker saves the cash; Baxter automatically blames
Tucker but Andrew sets him straight, forcing Bullet to eat humble
pie. As everyone dusts themselves off, the Brookies lift the disco
gear. More fisticuffs erupt; Baxter and Sooty arrive to eject the
villains. Baxter calls off the disco; Tucker thanks Doyle for his
help and they call a Christmas truce. As Tucker & co stand guard
over the decks, Sooty rewards the lads with some (soft) liquid refreshment.
